The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

This year I, along with lots of other people I know, am just not feeling the Christmas Spirit this year! It’s really bothering me because I know that the holiday is very important, as it represents the day that Christ was born; a day that did not have to happen, but did to inevitably save mankind. However, I cannot shake the feeling that I can’t wait until Christmas passes.

It’s upsetting because I know that I am yet, again, taking life for granted and all the blessings around me. In essence, I am still very thankful for Christmas Day; I look forward to being around my family; and I hope that by the time the day comes I will have lots of LOVE to give. Giving love is what it’s all about. I may not have the money to buy lovely gifts for my loved ones, but I can give my love to show my appreciation.

In efforts to get into the Christmas Groove I bought a small pink Christmas tree, and a pink sparkly Santa hat. I have started to play my Christmas jams (Motown Christmas classics are my faves), in hopes that I will arise from my holiday rut! On Christmas day I want to wake up and reflect on all my blessings and really give thanks to God for sending His son.

I hope all those out there who also have the “Ba-Hum-Bug Spirit,” are able to shake it off and realize what this season is all about!

Be Blessed & Merry Christmas!
