Lyrically Inclined

How many of you encourage yourself when you are down? I know sometimes we need to hear an encouraging word from somewhere, but we don’t always get it; that’s when you can encourage yourself in the Lord. I find that as I blog, most of the time the words that spill out of my heart really touch ME! As if someone else is saying it to me. If nothing else, if no ONE else, I am encouraged a lot of the times by myself; and that is a blessing.

Please enjoy and dig into the lyrics to “Encourage Yourself,” by Donald Lawerence & Tri-City Singers f/ Sheri Jones-Moffett:

Sometimes you have to encourage yourself.

Sometimes you have to speak victory during the test.

And no matter how you feel,

speak the word and you will be healed;

speak over yourself,

encourage yourself in the Lord.

[Verse 2:]

Sometimes you have to speak the word over yourself,

the pressure is all around,

but God is present help.

The enemy created walls,

but remember giants, they do fall;

speak over yourself,

encourage yourself in the Lord.

[Bridge:]

As I minister to you, oh I minister to myself,

life can hurt you so,

’til you feel there’s nothing left.

(No matter how you feel),

(speak the word and you will be healed).
