Family Time
This past weekend my husband and I had the pleasure to host a mini family reunion at our home. My brother who is a Major in the US Army and sister in law who is a Command St. Major came in from Korea. That alone caused for grandparents, nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers, mama, etc to migrate to our home for a great weekend. And what a great weekend we had. We cooked, sang songs, reminisced, took pictures, competed in a human maze, and went bowling. We had a good time.
Many times I hear friends complain about family members and I feel grateful to have the family I have. I feel like my family members are also my friends. They say you can choose your friends but you can’t choose your family members…pretty neat how God doesn’t give you an option about family members. He knows who should be in your life. I had a great time with my family and I encourage you to reach out to yours as often as possible. Like the saying goes, we don’t pick our family. God does! Until next time…
