MY LIFE AS A WIFE

Rob and I have been married for 11 months!!! It is so weird to think that next month will make one whole year…wow time has flown. Well in this edition I will keep it short and sweet. As I continue my journey I have realized how important it is to keep your dreams and goals alive. Many times (from talking to friends and family) when women get married, they put their dreams on the back burner for the family. The family becomes priority and more often then not they lose their individual identity and take on the identity of the family. Not only is it important for YOU to keep your identity, the family needs you to keep your identity. I have spoken with of course my husband, as well as other married men or men in long term relationships and have found that men want us to keep our goals. It is our drive often times that attracts them to us…ladies did you know that?!! I didn’t!

Well as I journey I am continuing to pursue my dreams and aspirations of writing and am happy to say that I have a true supporter in my corner…my husband. He encourages me and helps me stay focused when I get distracted. His belief in me helps me to believe in myself when I have doubts. Ladies, in relationships, I challenge you to focus on your goals and dreams. Keep your identity alive. Don’t neglect your family but don’t lose sight of yourself. Its all about balancing. Continue this journey with me and as always I welcome the feedback. Check out Gossiper’s Single & The City…Until next time…
