If I Was a Rich Girl…
If I was a rich girl…See, I’d have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl.
Those lyrics of Gwen Stefani’s song, “Rich Girl,” is what we typically think when we say we want to be rich. However, to be rich is to be so much more than wealthy in the monetary sense. I received an email from Higher Awareness, a website designed to promote and encourage the awareness and consciousness journey to know & grow yourself, that defined what rich is.
How do you define ‘rich’?
If you want greater wealth, what does that mean for you? A large annual income? If so, how large? A beautiful home? Health? Security? Happiness? To be in service?
Get really specific about what would bring you a rich life. There are no right and wrong answers here. Don’t judge your desires. Just dig deep to discover what it is that you really want. If you want things, explore what qualities of life those things represent to you.
Things that make you go Hmmmm… To be rich in spirit and joy is much more important than to be rich in money. Don’t get me wrong- money is NICE to have! But if I have all the money, with no joy, love, peace, or purpose, then what is the point? Some of the richest people are the most emptiest & poorest inside. We should really put things into perspective because as you may or may not know, only what we do for Christ will last, and all these earthly things can’t go with us in our grave. Enjoy them while you are here on earth but don’t get too caught up in being $rich$ or you just may find yourself poor. Discover what makes YOU rich as a person, not your monetary value, and expound on that to create a more meaningful life for yourself!
“No one can tell whether they are richer or poor by turning to their ledger. It is the heart that makes a person rich. One is rich according to what one is, not according to what one has.” — Henry Ward Beecher
