No Greater Love

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend. This time is about more than getting off work early for Good Friday; Easter egg hunts; bunnies; going to church in a fly Easter outfit; cooking good food; and hearing children Easter speeches. All those things are nice, but it’s all about the passion of Christ.

I finally became spiritually ready to watch the movie “The Passion of the Christ.” When it first debuted I honestly did not want to see it judging by the feedback about it, I will admit I was not ready to face the facts. A’las, I witnessed the epic cinema story of Jesus giving his life for a friend, us. “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends (John 15:13).”

The pain. The blood. The agony. The tears. The humiliation. The beating. The bruises. The darkness. All to save us from sin. It gives a renewed meaning to taking communion in remembrance of him. Easter Sunday has been refined for me. LOVE has been refined for me. To be justified, redeemed, and covered by His blood has been refined for me.

Be Blessed
