Single & The City

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of messages and passages evolving around the topic of love; be it love yourself; love your neighbor; love your enemies; love God; the subtext of the context is LOVE. Just LOVE. In reference to Mr. I.N.S.P.I.R.E.’s latest blog, if you’re scared, go anyway; take the journey.

Us single people can use this mentality in our quest in finding the one. The way I am beginning to see it: Nothing worse can happen to me that hasn’t already. Sure, you may get your heartbroken for the fifty-eleventh time, but guess what? You already experienced that, and just like you coped the first time, you will cope with it this time. Another thing, if you’re like me and have gone through humiliating trials in past relationships, I can bet you learned from those mistakes and chances are you won’t go through that same exact experience again.

So with all that said- just go for it. LOVE. Free-fall into love, what do you have to lose at this point? I always see people use the quote “I love hard” and I thought to myself If I am going to love hard, best believe that I’m going to love myself even harder. I believe when you love yourself you’ll make less petty mistakes in relationships (and life) because you’ll look out for your best interest while being more loving at the same time.

So my singles, I say to you- LOVE!

In the meantime…

Still Single,

Gossiper
