Through A Man’s Eyes…
Take the Journey.
It seems like with everything in life we are always over analyzing every crucial decision we make in our lives. Whether, it’s a job, what degree we should major in, hair style, clothes to wear, and oh yes, that significant other. There are different reasons why we over-think or hesitate on making these tough decisions, but I feel the main reason is because we are uncertain of the outcome. Not having a sense of control or not knowing how things will be is and can be very frightening. But like my high school football coach would say “If you’re scared, go anyway!” This could apply to any situation you’re in.
My favorite bible verse comes out of Joshua 1:9 9-Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee wheresoever thou goest. Sometimes stepping off the ledge gives us a bigger relief and/or sense of accomplishment than the end result. With every journey we discover something valuable that we can take to our next path. Of course it may be positive as well as negative, but nevertheless this gain of knowledge will assist with the next passage of your life; only if you allow it too. Life is an endless journey. The situations that we survive through can make you better and stronger if you don’t give it the authority to corrupt you. This is all about knowing who you are, but most importantly who you belong to, because when you know that He is with you. The journey won’t not seem that bad, the decision will work out for the best, and that sense of control that you thought you didn’t have, you really do have because it was in God’s hands all along.
Don’t see it as the choice of fear, but the choice of the Lord. It says in Joshua 24:22 22-And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses. Remember the decision you make, rather good or bad, will ultimately make you a witness to the glory of the Lord. So when faced with a decision and you are scared, keep in mind that you will never be alone so “GO ANYWAY.”

Well said Mr. Inspire, over the past 6 months I have decided to take my relationship with The Lord to next level and the more I learn and the closer I get to him I realize that he is always with me. I use to believe that I was deciding the path of my life but now I see that God knows what decision I will make before I am ever AWARE of the question or situation that is being presented to me. This blog has truly INSPIREd me to not be such a scary cat (lol) be brave and see where God takes me!

You are so right being afraid is the main key to why some of us are still in the situations we are now. I have learned that we can’t figure out God and the more we try the more we get in the way of what he has planned. I need to remember that I’m not alone in anything that I do … he said if I go he will speak for me!

Well said – sometimes its our OWN fear that holds us back from the many blessings in store.

It’s funny how you wrote about this because lately I have been over analyzing a lot of things in my life and unsure of the outcomes. I am very indecisive and sometimes in life it’s hard to believe that you’re making the right decisions without knowing if things are going to go the way YOU want them to. Being afraid is exactly it. One of my favorite scriptiures is Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything”. I try not to worry about the outcomes and pray daily about the decisions I make. I trust the Lord will guide my heart and always be with me through everything I do. This blog has opened my mind to a lot of things and I thank you for that! Keep inspiring us!
