G.O.S.S.I.P. Sister

Praise Break: A moment in the midpoint of the week just to stop and pay reverence, and seek encouragement to get us through the remainder of the week.

Phillipians 4:11-13 (NIV)

I am not saying that because I’m in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him (Christ) who gives me strength.

I stumbled by this verse, but not by accident. While I’ve always known the latter of the verses, that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, but I’ve never took notice to the verses that precede that. It’s something so powerful in knowing that through it all we are blessed and covered with the blood. Life is about choices and we need to make the choice to be content in every situation; in doing so, we demonstrate our faith in God that everything will be okay and that indeed we can do all things, and overcome, without a shadow of a doubt through the power of Christ.
