Don’t Be So Hasty
I have recently accepted the fact that I make hasty decisions. I always have. Ever since I was little when I wanted something, I wanted it right then and now! (Reminiscent of spoiled behavior huh? Never mind that) As I’ve gotten older those hasty decisions are starting to get more serious and costly. I’m beginning to wonder if hasty behavior is a sin or an act of disobedience though?
The problem with wanting something right then when you want it is you aren’t practicing self-control, you aren’t making a fully thought out and wise decision, and most importantly you aren’t practicing patience. I think I’m learning a lesson right now as I type that will stick with me for the rest of my life: PATIENCE. I realize that patience is so important because it forces you to wait on the Lord and have faith that he will step in right on time. We all know the saying goes- “He may not come when you want Him to but He’s always right on time!” In order to believe that of the Lord, we must have patience. I will often pray about something but I still end up worrying my little soul about it. If I truly trusted God I would pray about it and walk away from it trusting that the Lord will see me through. No more worrying, no more contemplating over it, so long as I’ve done everything in my earthly powers to work it out, the rest of it should be left in God’s hands.
When making hasty decisions I’m not practicing responsibility or patience. I have the fear that if I don’t get or do something right then then I won’t get it or have it at all. However, I must remember that what’s for me is for me and no one can take that away from me so long as it’s in God’s will. That’s my epiphany that I wanted to share with you all. Practice patience and cut out hasty decision-making behavior. Let’s charge ourselves to put our trust in God and leave our worries behind.
Be Blessed & Be Patient

Patience is a virtue because it makes us better people. The definition of the word is to tolerate delay. Patience is not only a virtue but a necessity for a happy existence.

We must all develop patience. But even with patience, sometimes it seems as if you are waiting and praying for something that is never going to happen–even if it is something that is in God’s will.
