When you eliminate FEAR!
I was talking to a co-worker a while ago and was pretty much complaining. I was going on and on, on how I wanted to try this and that but listed an excuse as to why I couldn’t/shouldn’t/wouldn’t do it. She said you are giving excuses to make yourself feel good about being scared to really do it. She then asked the simple question “What would you do if you eliminated the fear?” I thought WOW!! I don’t know. She said if you didn’t fear failure and knew everything you did would be successful, what would you do? I thought about it for a second and gave her a few answers. She then said – “Ok, do it then!” So today I come to you, asking you to ask yourself if there wasn’t a fear of failure, success, loneliness, rejection, or disapproval – what you would strive to accomplish? Would you start a business, go back to school, or try something completely out of your norm? Remember fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. It may seem real, but its not! Eliminate it and move forward. Until next time…

Good post! I eliminated fear a looooong time ago because I come from a very negative family where fear dominates and controls. So once I moved away from home my motto was, “It’s my life, I will live it as I choose; You win some, you lose some; If I make a mistake it is my life and my mistake to learn from”. I never had the safety of parents, so I learned very early on, you either sink or you swim—fear doesn’t change that reality.

thats awesome you realized this along time ago – I am still working on this. I have good ideas and suggestions but find myself making excuses…work in progress but I will eliminate the fear!
