Religion and Judgment

Ok so I would really love feedback on this particular blog. I have had numerous conversations regarding religion with friends and family and would like to share with you today. This is my personal opinion and I definitely don’t want to offend anyone and would love to hear your point of view. I personally don’t believe there is one divine truth. I believe religion is something man has made to further separate and divide one another. If you look at the biblical times there weren’t Baptists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Catholics etc it was simply Christianity. I grew up Jehovah’s Witness and now attend a Baptist church but I still don’t believe in one divine truth. He said as long as you accept Me, My Son, and the Holy Spirit and acknowledge that He died on the cross and rose again, you will be written in the Book of Life. Its about the personal relationship you develop with Him. So here is my argument; the Bible says God is a reader of the heart. It is NOT for us to judge one another.  The good book goes on to say that David who was an adulterous murder was a man after God’s own heart. David praised God so much he danced out of his clothes. Israel (previously Jacob) was a thief who stole his brothers birth rights but God made him a man of many nations, hence the 12 tribes of Israel.  Apostle Paul (previously Saul) was a man who persecuted (killed) Christians. He went from town to town killing Christians but according to the Bible Paul was a vital part of the Christian movement writing half of the New Testament. The books written by Paul include: Romans, 1st & 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, 1st & 2nd Timothy, and Titus. I understand the importance of fellowship with other Christians to encourage and pray for one another. But, my question is, if God is a reader of the heart and not religion – what is the purpose of so many different religions (the ones based on Christian principles)? Do you have to be a member of a specific religion in order to see the pearly gates? I believe whether you are a member of any Christian based religion that your ultimate destiny will be determined by your heart, character, and how many people you have invited to God or shared the good Word with. What do you think? And on a side note…why do so many Christian people (I am guilty from time to time as well) tend to judge one another even though the examples above clearly show God can and will use ANYONE?? Share your thoughts. Until next time…

Be Blessed
