Lyrically Inclined
Being a Christian is not easy for any of us. There’s a lot of judgment and conviction to face, and non-believers here and there. Sometimes it’s hard to trust and follow. This song, famously sang by the Mississippi Mass Choir, has been a constant reminder of what I must fall back on from time to time to remind me what life is all about. I’m not the director of this movie I call my life; a greater power is… Enjoy the lyrics to “Order My Steps” and let it speak to you:
Order my steps in your word dear Lord,
Lead me, guide me, everyday,
Send your anointing, Father I pray;
Order my steps in Your word,
Please, order my steps in Your word.Humbly, I ask thee to teach me Your will,
While You are working, help me be still,
Satan is busy, God is real;
Order my steps in Your word,
Please, order my steps in Your word.Briddle my tongue let my words edify,
Let the words of my mouth be exceptable in thy sight,
Take charge of my thoughts both day and night;
Order my steps in your word,
Please order my steps in your word.I want to walk worthy,
My calling to fulfill.
Please order my steps Lord,
And I’ll do Your blessed will.
The world is ever changing,
But You are still the same;
If you order my steps, I’ll praise Your name.Order my steps in Your word.
Order my tongue in Your word.
Guide my feet in Your word.
Wash my heart in Your word.
Show me how to walk in Your word.
Show me how to talk in Your word.
When I need a brand new song to sing,
Show me how to let Your praises ring,
In Your word (2x),
Be Blessed

I LOVE this song and for some reason reading the words today has so much more meaning than before.

Beautiful lyrics…I have a hard time finding gospel music that I enjoy because I like more contemporary gospel. And aside from Mary Mary, I just don’t know who to listen to
