Dear Mama
As women we all have a mother and hopefully one day will be a mother. Being a mother is truly gift. I don’t know that for a fact, but I am going to assume because of the example that I have as a mother. My mother is truly inspiring and the best friend I could ever ask for. God couldn’t have given me a better blessing. Mothers help you in the hard times, they encourage you with words, they always have your back no matter what, they give their all just for your success, and they love unconditionally. I have a quick little story from when I was a little girl and first learning Bible verses; of course one of the first ones a child is taught is “Honor your father and your mother, and your days shall be long.” I remember thinking, “I want my mom’s days to be long, not mine, so she can be with me forever.” I guess that was part of my “I’m going to be a child forever” mentality. Haha
I love my mother with all my heart. Her birthday is coming up so this is my ode to my Mommy. She is my rock and is truly a blessing from God; I couldn’t imagine life without her. I don’t know if I always have shown my appreciate for my mother, but as I’ve grown and matured I understand all that she has done for me and her family, and it has never been in vain. I hope that I am half the woman, mother, and inspiration to my children as she was for me. Cherish your mothers for our days are numbered.
Mommy, I love you always and you have my heart.
Be Blessed

Wonderful read!!! BRAVO ~ Let me jump on the bandwagon of thanking mothers. My mother survived a life threatening brain tumor December 2008 – since then I too have realized that ours days on this earth is numbered and I just want to say, while you are still here today, I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!

I always get a little sad when I heard people talk about their wonderful mothers because I will never know that experience. Unfortunately for me, I had a mother who couldn’t have cared less about her two kids. Although I don’t have kids yet, I know that pattern will be broken with me.

Sasha, thank you so much for such kind words. I am so thankful to God to have a daughter like you. Keep up the good work, and stay encouraged. All you young ladies, stay encouraged. Baby-Girl, you made my birthday a happy one. Love Mommy

Cosmo…Chic – I too will pray that the pattern will end with you and that you and your children have a better relationship then you could’ve ever imagined. The Bible says our latter days will be greater then our past.
