Enjoying The Moment!
Hey Ladies -
I, like every other woman, am constantly going! Whether its work, school, home, grocery shopping, spending time with family and friends its constant GO! Although all of those things need and should be done – we, as women, must also take a moment to just ENJOY the moment! We are truly blessed. The mere fact that you are alive today is a blessing. If you are able to read this blog, have a job or some sort of income, a place to lay your head GOD is blessing you. What I have learned is sometimes HE just wants us to ENJOY life. Some say the JOY I have the world didn’t give it and the world can’t take it away. With everything that is going on in society – we are blessed to belong to Most High and for that reason alone we should rejoice. I said I am going back to school and in 2 years I will have XYZ degree, and in 5-6 years I would like to start a family, and in 3 years I want my business to be this and I pray and ask God to bless it and guide it…but often I forget to be thankful for what’s right in front of me and ENJOY it.
The statement life is a journey is so true. I heard Joyce Meyers once say, although life is a journey; enjoy your path on the way to your destination. Meaning, stop and inhale the fresh air, take a walk, just be IN the moment. As women when we meet a new guy what is the first thing that we think? COULD HE BE THE ONE!?!? We plan how our wedding would be, what our kids would look like, etc and all this before the second date! Sometimes its nice to just enjoy the moments of meeting someone new and let it flow. Enjoy getting to learn them, genially and not just asking all the questions up front. Let the relationship evolve and flourish. Pray about it. We sometime forget we are not living in a microwave world no matter how we try to make it one. Things, growth, advancement all takes time, and while we are waiting…enjoy it! I was watching WE TV, a Bridezilla episode, and while all the family was there for the bride helping her make party favors and last minute changes, she was on the phone trying to do everything herself which in turned made her tired. She went to bed early while her family was there and the day of the wedding she was so stressed and tired she couldn’t enjoy her day. She later said she wish she would’ve spent more time with her family while they were all there for her especially the ones from out of town. She said she wish she’d just took a deep breath, let go, and enjoyed her day. Now that it is all said and done she has to watch her video tape to remember parts of the wedding. GOD doesn’t want that for us. Our steps are ordered. There is a reason you are where you are today. Someone said if you would’ve taken a different road in the past you would’ve still ended where you are today because GOD doesn’t make mistakes. HE knows where you want to go but has allowed you to be at this place for the time being. Maybe its for a learning experience, a friend you may meet along the way, or simply to humble you, there is a reason behind it. The Bible say ALL things work together for the GOOD of those who love the Lord – even where you are right now, its working for his purpose. As you continue to grow and advance in the world, don’t’ forget to stop, appreciate, and enjoy this scenic route of life. Until next time…
Be Blessed

This post is so true. After the Natasha Richardson skiing tragedy and the two football players fishing tragedy, I have to be careful not to get paranoid about just living my life and doing ordinary things. But, this post reminds me to grateful for everyday and to live everyday to the fullest because we never know what day is our last here on earth.

I was thinking of Natasha Richardson while writing this – that story along with the football players is so sad to me. My prayers go out the their families.
