An Attitude of Gratitude

Your attitude determines your altitude. We have all heard this saying before so it should come as no surprise. When my pastor preached on this topic Sunday, I applied it to a different aspect of my life- one that’s been eating away at me for awhile now: Accomplishing dreams & goals. A lot of us have ambitions and things we set out to accomplish that we may not necessarily feel 100% about right now. Am I the only one who feels this way? I hope not. Keep reading »

Never Fear

You know what fear does? It holds you back. It is like a poison that infects you and if you don’t get it fixed it will spread to ALL areas of your life. I write to tell you to push yourself to never fear. One day you will wake up, look around, and notice that you are nowhere near where you planned or dreamed you could be because you let fear hold you back and discourage you. Keep reading »

This is what I need…

Whatever your fate is, whatever happens, you say, “This is what I need.” It may look like a wreck, but go at it as though it were an opportunity, a challenge. If you bring love to that moment-not discouragement-you will find the strength there. Any disaster you can survive is an improvement in your character, your stature, and your life. What a privilege!! This is when the spontaneity of your own nature will have a chance to flow. Then, when looking back at your life, you will see that the moments which seemed to be great failures, followed by wreckage, were the incidents that shaped the life you have now. You’ll see this is really true. Nothing can happen to you that is not positive. Even though it looks and feels at the moment like a negative crisis, it is not. The crisis throws you back, and when you are required to exhibit strength, it comes.”

Food For the Soul

With the weather changes and all the cold & flu virus has been floating around like crazy! I have been reading countless articles on foods to eat, remedies to use, and safe practices to boost your immune system and ward off a cold, because who can’t afford to keep getting sick (going on cold #2 within a 4 week span) is ME. So after learning about good food for the body and such, it got me to thinking- what’s good food for the soul? The element that counts the most in our lives is our soul. That’s where our joy is housed, and where our lives are either enriched or drenched. Keep reading »

Lyrically Inclined

Happy Thanksgiving! With love from the G.O.S.S.I.P. Sister Team! :)

Thank You (Lord For All You’ve Done For Me) Lyrics

Verse 1:
Tragedies Are Common Place. All Kind Of Diseases, People Are Slipping Away.
Economy’s Down, People Can’t Get Enough Pay, As For Me, All I Can Say Is, “Thank You, Lord For All You’ve Done For Me”.

verse 2:
Folks Without Homes Living Out In The Streets And The Drug Habit Some Say, They Just Can’t Beat. Muggers And Robbers, No Place Seems Too Safe, But You’ve Been My Protection Every Step Of The Way And I Want To Say, “Thank You, Lord For All You’ve Done For Me”. Keep reading »

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! May God continue to bless you with things to be thankful for- to be alive, for one, is good enough already!

Last year I wrote a thank you card to my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ and tucked it away in my Bible just so that I can randomly read the things I once were thankful for, and still likely am. Whenever I am feeling ungrateful I can turn to this card to remind me of all my blessings and to humble myself back down to thankfulness.

The things I wrote with the preface of “God you’ve been so good… I just want to THANK YOU…” Keep reading »

11-11-11

I found on the web that the Number Eleven possesses the qualities of intuition, patience, honesty, sensitivity, and spirituality, and is idealistic. Others turn to people who are ‘Eleven’ for teaching and inspiration, and are usually uplifted by the experience.

There are endless explanations, opinions, prophecies, and stories that are evolve around the number 11, however, that’s the one that stuck out to me! There are tons of couples getting married on 11-11-11, tons of Facebook statuses and Twitter feeds with endless meanings. What does 11-11-11 mean to you?

Things Get Crazy

Hi Dear Readers!

I just want to apologize because I have not blogged ONE bit for the past (don’t even count the days). BUT, my excuse is that I recently moved back to my home state of California, and things have been crazy. I don’t know who all has missed G.S. Blogs, but I hope there’s still some fans out there! Not only do I write these inspirational blogs for your eyes, but I write them for myself as well because it is really therapeutic. Things get crazy, but I feel really bad that I neglected to send out encouragement and uplifting words in the midst of it all. I’m back- Gossiper is back! I honestly can’t commit to full-time blogging RIGHT NOW, but slowly and surely I will be back to multiple-times-a-week posting. Lord willing! If you are reading this via Facebook, please just hit the “like” button, let me see you out there. If you are on the website make a smiley face in the comment box! And Twitter readers, RETWEET. I’m back, so let me see that you are back too! :)

Love you each, and thank you for the continual support

P.S. Miss Gossip will return soon, however, pray for her- as she is due any day now with her first child! :)

Blessings,

Gossiper
