Passion

I read a blog that was titled- “Go for passion!”

It read:

How do you ration your passion?

In what situations have you experienced your life to the fullest? Do you live your passion as fully as you can? How do you limit your experience of passion?

Passion emerges when your essence expresses itself. How do you stop yourself from fully expressing who you are? Keep reading »

Happy Black History Month

Happy FIRST day of Black History Month!

What does Black History Month mean to you? Please share!

It goes by so quick so don’t let these 28 days breeze by without you reflecting on the Black culture and how it has impacted your life. What accomplishments are you proud of? Where would you like to see the Black race go in the years to come? How has your ancestors changed your life?

Please reflect & share with GS! We welcome all comments

Have a Great Weekend!

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy weekend! Relax and do the things you really enjoy doing! Let the stress that met you throughout the workweek go and kick back. This weekend I personally will be working yet relaxing as I am going to do what I’ve had little time (and little focus) to do- develop my businesses Simply Classic Productions & Simply Classic Dance Co. Always remember to make time for things that count! ;-)

Enjoy!

An Attitude of Gratitude

Your attitude determines your altitude. We have all heard this saying before so it should come as no surprise. When my pastor preached on this topic Sunday, I applied it to a different aspect of my life- one that’s been eating away at me for awhile now: Accomplishing dreams & goals. A lot of us have ambitions and things we set out to accomplish that we may not necessarily feel 100% about right now. Am I the only one who feels this way? I hope not. Keep reading »

Never Fear

You know what fear does? It holds you back. It is like a poison that infects you and if you don’t get it fixed it will spread to ALL areas of your life. I write to tell you to push yourself to never fear. One day you will wake up, look around, and notice that you are nowhere near where you planned or dreamed you could be because you let fear hold you back and discourage you. Keep reading »

This is what I need…

Whatever your fate is, whatever happens, you say, “This is what I need.” It may look like a wreck, but go at it as though it were an opportunity, a challenge. If you bring love to that moment-not discouragement-you will find the strength there. Any disaster you can survive is an improvement in your character, your stature, and your life. What a privilege!! This is when the spontaneity of your own nature will have a chance to flow. Then, when looking back at your life, you will see that the moments which seemed to be great failures, followed by wreckage, were the incidents that shaped the life you have now. You’ll see this is really true. Nothing can happen to you that is not positive. Even though it looks and feels at the moment like a negative crisis, it is not. The crisis throws you back, and when you are required to exhibit strength, it comes.”

Food For the Soul

With the weather changes and all the cold & flu virus has been floating around like crazy! I have been reading countless articles on foods to eat, remedies to use, and safe practices to boost your immune system and ward off a cold, because who can’t afford to keep getting sick (going on cold #2 within a 4 week span) is ME. So after learning about good food for the body and such, it got me to thinking- what’s good food for the soul? The element that counts the most in our lives is our soul. That’s where our joy is housed, and where our lives are either enriched or drenched. Keep reading »

Lyrically Inclined

Happy Thanksgiving! With love from the G.O.S.S.I.P. Sister Team! :)

Thank You (Lord For All You’ve Done For Me) Lyrics

Verse 1:
Tragedies Are Common Place. All Kind Of Diseases, People Are Slipping Away.
Economy’s Down, People Can’t Get Enough Pay, As For Me, All I Can Say Is, “Thank You, Lord For All You’ve Done For Me”.

verse 2:
Folks Without Homes Living Out In The Streets And The Drug Habit Some Say, They Just Can’t Beat. Muggers And Robbers, No Place Seems Too Safe, But You’ve Been My Protection Every Step Of The Way And I Want To Say, “Thank You, Lord For All You’ve Done For Me”. Keep reading »
